VAC Dinner and Awards Evening 2021
This was held at Shuttleworth House on Saturday 20th November 2021
Having been postponed at least three times owing to the pandemic we finally met at Shuttleworth House in November for our annual Dinner and Awards Evening. Our guest speaker was George 'Smokey' Bacon MBE who was accompanied by his wife, Melanie. Following an excellent meal George delivered an inspiring speech and encouraged us to continue enjoying our vintage aircraft and to share our love of aircraft with the younger generation. Many of the awardees were present at the Dinner and were congratulated by George as they recieved their trophies from him, (see photos below). Thank you to Peter and Christine Wright who spent the last two years negotiating and re-negotiating all the arrangements for the Dinner. It was a splendid occasion and especially appreciated as an opportunity to meet up again after so long. Huge thanks too to our guest speaker, George Bacon MBE for a fascinating talk.
