About the photo gallery

First up is the VAC Lockdown Photo Competition. I am pleased to say that our judges agreed on a winner and congratulations go to Stuart Scott. Stuart's stunning photo taken at White Waltham fitted the theme, 'Dreaming of Flying..'. Stuart wrote, "The image was taken at White Waltham in a hangar on 8th Sept 2016. The person in the image was Sqdn. Ldr Andy 'Milli' Millikin when he was Officer Commanding the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight [BBMF]. He was about to go flying in one of their Hurricane Mk.IIc's, I think LF363." Stuart's photo is the second to last one in the VAC Lockdown Photo Competition section. It is also posted on our VAC Facebook page. Thank you to everyone who took part!

As you may perhaps appreciate, we have tried to make this site interesting by including some of the fantastic photographs taken by members, some of whom are also professional photographers, in the banner for each page. Because of the format requirements for the page banner, only part of the original photographs can be used. Here you can see the originals in all their glory, plus information about each photograph. What the aircraft is, where and by whom it was taken, etc. There is a second section to show more fantastic photographs that we have not yet used to head up a page.
